Jim Cantiello really loves David! He wrote another article. Season-seven runner-up David Archuleta survived the first year of post-”Idol” craziness, and while he’s pleased with how his debut self-titled 2008 album turned out, he’s making sure the music on his next pop album reflects more of who he is. Fans worried the 19 year-old cherubic singer might pull a Kelly Clarkson and release a dark, moody collection of tunes à la My December needn’t fret. “[I'll] still look for the radio-friendly music and stuff. When I first heard that David Archuleta’s Christmas album would be released Oct. 13, I thought surely he’s jumping the gun to beat the other holiday releases. David Archuleta has to be on the list. David Archuleta’s album of holiday music was released Tuesday.The CD features a splendid duet on “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” with Charice Pempengco, another teen with a wonderful voice. For those who wanted to hear more of David singing in Spanish, there’s “Riu Riu Chiu.” So, one question remains. When Billboard releases its updated charts on Thursday, who will do better with their Christmas release, young David or Bob Dylan? My money’s on David.

I looked up David’s old official website during his Star Search days and found a few entries where he tells how he came to sing for the firemen/women at the station. Kendra Lowe just finished her third tour with David Archuleta, playing keyboard and violin. After performing with Archuleta in Alaska two weeks ago, she has now performed in all 50 states. So today’s the 8th anniversary of September 11th. I hope everyone took a moment out of their day to remember all those who gave their lives. Eugene from Archuleta Philippines wrote in to tell us of a concert Lea’s giving in the Philippines on December 11 and 12 and you can request a song for Lea to perform in her concert! The deadline for song requests is September 30th, so let’s get a song by David on her set list! She admitted in a local newspaper that she receives song requests of Lady Gaga’s ‘Pokerface’, Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ and Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean‘! So why not David Archuleta songs? I can’t wait to hear her own versions of ‘Crush’, ‘ALTNOY’, ‘Touch My Hand’, or even ‘Zero Gravity’ on stage! Interview with David: Already serving a mission
“David Archuleta hasn’t let success spoil him. “I was amazed at how many people came to my concerts,” Archuleta observed during an interview Wednesday. “I knew people liked me on ‘American Idol,’ but I didn’t think they’d care to come see me sing at my own show.” Salt Lake fans will get a chance to see the “American Idol” runner-up at an event on Saturday, June 6, at the Rio Tinto Stadium. While Archuleta likes singing for his fans, especially locally, he loves being able to spend time with his family in Murray. Review of David’s Show Last Night!
It doesn’t quite seem like an entire year has passed since he was standing on the American Idol stage awaiting his fate, and David Archuleta will be the first to tell you that he can’t believe how far he has come. Archuleta has been quite successful since he lost the American Idol crown to David Cook. His first single, “Crush,” was released in August 2008 to overwhelming success - debuting at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 which made it the best debut in 18 months. He finished the concert with the obvious favorite, leaving the audience of screaming, David Archuleta t-shirted fans wanting oh, so much more. After this, he said the second most influential thing for him would probably his first encounter with Kelly Clarkson – the 29-year-old American singer-songwriter who was the very first American Idol. A Virtual Malaysian Tour!
Anyhoo, i would like to update you on David’s first Asian tour, namely the Malaysia pitstop in Kuala Lumpur city. I am a member of the Malaysia archies, Archuleta Avenue Malaysia and we are all excited to see David! Trust me guys, David will love his 3-days stay here. Archuleta Avenue Malaysia fanclub angels will be waiting for him. If David comes to Kuala Lumpur 1-week earlier prior to his showcase, I would love to take him watch his first Formula 1 Grandprix race, yep, we are one of the F1 race tour countries. Concert Review and Emily’s Drawing!
This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to catch David Archuleta’s concert in Albuquerque, NM. Most of my readers are aware by now that I’m a huge fan of this guy. I supported him throughout American Idol & I still do. Well, after this weekend, David’s album, on a scale of 1 to 10, represents his talent at about an 8. Even his brilliant performances like “Imagine” & “Angels” on Idol, as far as I’m concerned, are about a 9. David Archuleta’s incredible talent cannot be fully absorbed until you see him live. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the greatest talents of our generation. Emily sent in a beautiful drawing she did of David!

As an added bonus, Wood has lined up two youth performers to fill in the gaps during set changes. One is 11-year-old Allison Chapman from Eden, Weber County. The other is Daniel Archuleta, 15, younger brother of the 2008 “American Idol” runner-up. “I think I’ll advertise that D. Archuleta will perform,” says Wood. Also, David Osmond will be performing at David’s Official After the Show parties! David Osmond will perform at three Official After the Show parties following David Archuleta’s concerts in Rexburg, St. George, and Salt Lake City. A Concert Sold Out in 15 Minutes!
POCATELLO - After a quick sell out of concert tickets for last season’s American Idol runner-up, David Archuleta, in Idaho Falls, another date was added in Pocatello. Within 15 minutes, all the tickets to the show were sold. In total, the Center sold more than 1,200 tickets. On March 20, Archuleta will be performing in Idaho Falls. House of Blues Review
If you watch American Idol religiously like I do, then you definitely know who David Archuleta is. If you don’t watch the show, then you will become familiar with him soon. The second runner up, of last years Idol contestants, should have a long singing career ahead of him. The 18 year old singer from Miami played for a sold out crowd at the House Of Blues on Sunday. The crowd was full of very friendly moms with a slew of very excited children in tow. He sang his first single “Crush” and everyone sang along. He briefly left the stage, but came back for his encore. He sat at the piano and sang his two favorite songs. The first was “10,000 miles” originally by Vanessa Carlton. DoSomething and Richmond Concert Review!
He was bouncy, attempting a dance step now and then as he sang songs like “Barriers” and “Works For Me” but he was obviously concentrating on his performance and the words, still adapting and getting comfortable with this new set. When Archuleta did a medley of U2’s “One Love”, Desiree’s “You Gotta Be,” Sara Bareilles’ “Love Song”, and “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, he fumbled a few of the words but didn’t let it stop his performance — he just smiled and sang on. His hit “Crush” and new single “A Little Too Not Over You” had a lot of folks singing along but my personal favorite was saved for last - “Angels,” by Robbie Williams. David sang it with such control and power that I was completely mesmerized.

UK Album Review
If you listened to this album without knowing anything at all about the artist - or glancing at the cover - you’d have David Archuleta pegged as a wholesome, mum-friendly sort in his late twenties. Well, wholesome and mum-friendly is accurate enough, but the singer is a good decade younger than this record makes him sound. Archuleta, who finished second on the last season of American Idol, is actually a smooth-cheeked 18-year-old who could pass quite easily for a member of the High School Musical cast. However, this isn’t to say that David Archuleta is a dud. ‘Crush’ is easily the best tune here, but the choruses of ‘Barriers’, ‘My Hands’ and ‘Don’t Let Go’ soar in all the right places and the spunky ‘Your Eyes Don’t Lie’ sounds a bit like a count...

Richmond Review!
The angelic David Archuleta might have lost last season’s “American Idol” to sultry rocker David Cook. But don’t forget Archuleta still nabbed about 44 percent of 97 million votes, so obviously, the kid has a rabid following. Archuleta was never one for loquaciousness on “Idol,” usually batting away Ryan Seacrest’s questions with some cute blinking and a grin stretched across cheeks ripe for pinching. Though much of the night he seemed tentative about his newfound freedom as a headliner free of the “Idol” regime, Archuleta did lean into “Works For Me” with a soulful tinge that would have even made Simon Cowell half-smile.
