Life Is Good For Joel Madden

Things are going well for Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden, particularly in his personal life. He’s enjoying his relationship with Nicole Richie and says they’ve been having a great time as parents to their 11-month old daughter, Harlow. Madden tells us that although life is busy, he gets a lot of support from his brother and bandmate Benji, as well as from his girlfriend’s father, singer Lionel Richie: “It’s a lot of work, you know. Balancing work and all the different things that me and Benji do because we work so much. And making sure my family gets as much time as they deserve is the tricky part. I have an awesome father-in-law whose done that very well and he’s always kind of giving me pointers. I’ve got a great girlfriend. She’s a wonderful mother. And she’s very understanding. And I have an awesome daughter. Everything is great, you know.”

Madden has quite his share of tattoos. But that doesn’t mean he wants his daughter getting inked when she grows up. Madden tells us he hopes she doesn’t follow suit: “That hopefully will never happen. Hopefully she will be so disgusted by my tattoos that she will never want one. If she’s embarrassed I’m going to wear tank tops and wife-beaters to pick her up from school and hopefully she will get just so sick of tattoos that she will never want one.”

Good Charlotte will release a Greatest Remixes album on November 25th, featuring some new songs and the band’s favorite tracks with new interpretations and remixes by their favorite DJs and music artists, including Jay-Z, Bubba Sparxx and others.
