Adam Levine Has a Request Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine knows what kind of music he likes and he's not shy about requesting it either. He stopped by the Foxtail Club in West Hollywood and told the DJ to play...a Maroon 5 song, of course! Adam was so happy he danced to his own song.
When not busy posing for the cameras or interacting with fans, Levine shone with his spectacular voice, and the band included all the favourites in their setlist, including Sunday Morning, I Won't Go Home Without You, The Sun, Shiver, Makes Me Wonder and Wake Up Call and She Will Be Loved.

I chatted to Maroon 5’s guitarist James Valentine to find out more about the band members and their forthcoming visit to South Africa in December Matt Flynn: ‘Hilarious and confrontational.’ Jesse Carmichael: ‘Our spiritual guru and leader.’
The concert, said Valentine, will be similar to most of the shows in Latin America: a selection of songs from both albums the quintet have produced (Songs About Jane and It Won't Be Soon Before Long). "We haven't started to play anything new or different yet," he declared.
While the concert lacked many of the songs from their last album, nobody was left disappointed by these impeccable musicians: James Valentine on guitar, Jesse Carmichael on keyboards, Mickey Madden on bass, the excellent Matt Flynn on drums and Levine himself heavily used on guitar.
I bumped into the Maroon 5 boys on Saturday night. They too had been out of the country on the South American leg of their tour on election night. “We were bummed about that,” said lead singer Adam Levine (seen here with Byrdie Bell and lead guitar James Valentine). “But then, it was kind of cool t...

On Saturday night, the band traveled south to San Diego where Counting Crows ended up cancelling their set because the lead singer, Adam Duritz, had fallen sick. As a result, Maroon 5 played a longer set with new surprises like their cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.”

None of that seemed to particularly matter Saturday night at the Marcus Amphitheater. Although Maroon 5 has been a much hotter commercial property lately, the band bowed to seniority and took the stage before Counting Crows. Young, vibrant and tuneful, Maroon 5 dispenses the kind of easi...
Maroon 5 ended the show with "This Love," after which Adam threw his guitar sky high. The guitar smacked down onto the stage, still in one piece and just inches from the singer. He picked it up and the rest of the guys joined him in waving goodbye to the crowd and giving a well-deserved bow.
It Won't Be Soon Before Long," the band's clever 'n' catchy second record, has sold 2 million copies since its release last year, according to Nielsen Soundscan. Not quite the same pace as 2002's "Songs About Jane" -- at 4.6 million and still counting -- but solid sophomore numbers nonethel...

Maroon 5's performance was a bit rawer than when the five-piece headlined Cricket Arena in 2005 at the height of the band's popularity. The band still played its hits beginning with “Harder to Breathe” and “If I Never See Your Face Again.” But they dressed casually in light, scruffy summer T...
