The next episode, 136, was largely a flashback (yes) of the life of Uchiha Madara, and the sinister, murderous secrets behind the Sharingan, the Mangekyo Sharingan, and it’s ultimate evolution — the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. After effectively shocking the Uchiha out of Sasuke, Itachi reveals that the real reason he’s lured Sasuke to this point is so that he can take his little brother’s eyes, and win the fight against blindness that the Mangekyo Sharingan brings about. Favorite Moment: The genjutsu battle between Itachi and Sasuke toward the end of 135 was extremely cool. Even though it was an illusion, it was good to see Itachi fighting with his hands for once, instead of, y’know … standing still.
