Hi all, Bandai contacted me yesterday and told me about the V5.5...apparently this won't be the American/European version of the Royal Famita after all. There will be new colors and a new family. I'm guessing that the new family will be a different pure family from the ones we have seen on the regular V5. I will be posting a picture of the new designs as soon as they are out. Anyway, here's a copy-paste of what Bandai told me:

I knew that it would eventually happen :D Good news everyone! The tamagotchi is finally being released in a color version!!! This won't be a simulation for cell-phones, computers, gameboy etc...this will be a regular hand-held key chain Tamagotchi but the display is all in color! There is no information about it yet except the above picture which I got from Japan's Bandai website. I really really like the screen and the fact that they included a room for the tamagotchi to live in will probably mean that it will be able to interact with the environment, such as playing games on the computer seen in the background or resting on the couch. As you can see from the picture above, there is a ladder leading somewhere else. I'm guessing that you will be able...

There is no information about it yet except the above picture which I got from Japan's Bandai website. I really really like the screen and the fact that they included a room for the tamagotchi to live in will probably mean that it will be able to interact with the environment, such as playing games on the computer seen in the background or resting on the couch. the above is an actual statement by Bandai...it seems like we're getting another Tamagotchi (I still don't have the V5 grrrrrrr :( can't wait anymore!!). I've found pictures on Tamagotchi Channel (click here) which, I think, show the tamagotchi V5.5. There will to be new designs, 30 new characters and 60 new items. It also seems that there will be jobs on this Tamagotchi. Japanese versions of the V5.5 will come with a DVD (like the one on the V5). Also the V5.5 will be able to connect the Familitchi/V5. How cool is that? This is my latest 3D creation. This character goes by three different names: Furawatchi, Leaftchi and Violetchi. I have never really understood why this particular character received 3 different names although I do remember seeing her being depicted in green rather than pink. So maybe one of the three names is referring to another character which is different from the Furawatchi shown here. Can anyone clarify this mystery? Anyway, this character's official name is Furawatchi (I'm referring to the one seen on the Tamagotchi V5 and depicted here). Below is the original 2D picture of Furawatchi. Now, about my V4.5: Since my last post, Linus the Celebtchi had a baby girl. This morning at 12.00am, Linus left to TamaTown. I didn't catch the leaving a...
